A deeply disturbing case out of Florida…
A Florida man has been arrested after allegedly murdering a 32-year-old UK woman he met on a fetish website — a woman who had traveled to the U.S. while struggling with severe mental health issues and seeking a violent fantasy she later tried to escape.
Investigators say Sonia Exelby, from the UK, had connected with 53-year-old Dwain Hall of Ocala on a niche site centered on violent role-play.
Two years later, in October 2025, she flew to Florida to meet him.
But what began as fantasy turned into real danger.
Shortly before her death, Sonia sent a chilling Discord message to a friend:
“I’m trapped. There’s no way out.”
Authorities believe she tried to back out — and Hall refused to let her leave.
Police later found her body in a wooded area, killed by sharp force trauma.
Because evidence shows she was held against her will and brutally murdered, not participating in any form of assisted suicide, Hall has been charged with:
🔴 First-Degree Murder
🔴 Kidnapping
It’s a heartbreaking reminder of how vulnerable people can be exploited — and how dangerous these online encounters can become.
May Sonia rest in peace.
